For the lady year or so I’ve had intermittent issues with my eyes. One eye or the other will become painful and by the next day it is floured up and bright red.
It hurts like someone socked me in the eye and lasts a couple days. The red goes away in about a week.
I’ve gone to my eye fix who said it could be a number if things including hiires or environmental issues since I travel so much etc.
he just didnt know and told me if it ever happens when I’m in town, to come right in.
Of corse, the weekend I decide not to fly home, I have the worst case so far. Very painful, weepy and bothered by lights.
I’m not sure where I can go here in this town to see an eye doctor on a Sunday, so I am just asking for prayer to get through till Monday when I can hopefully get in to see someone while its inflamed.
Also, that they can figure out what is going on. this is no fun.

    PRAYER REQUESTS

London Dealing with a painful recurring eye issue that the drs have not been able to figure out. She is away today (Sunday) and having a very bad flare up…prayers for comfort and endurance today, and prayers she can see someone Monday who will give her some help.

Pastor Saeed Continued prayers for his endurance and health. Prayers for this coming media blitz with the hope of pressuring for his release during their New Year, when they have released prisoners before.

brian Be praying for his living situation and that of his neighbors, who have no place to go. Praying as well for grace for him in asking for prayer…and peace with receiving support of others.

Erunner: Be in prayer for his mother, and for his entire family. His mother is in early set on dementia and is being cared for by a sister who lives with her. This sister is not taking care of the mother properly, and is isolating her and turning her against the other siblings. Pray for wisdom for E and his other siblings as they walk through this very emotional and difficult season, and for safety and care for his mom. For grace for this sister, that she would soften and act with compassion.

Derek: Be praying for his friend Dennis who served two tours with Derek and is possibly PTSD, continued prayers for mercy for this man.

Chile: “A family member was just told he has two years to live. We are confused as to why the doc thinks this, based on the info we were given. We are just stunned.” Chile and this family member now have to tell the rest of the family. Please pray for them as they walk through this…

Michael: Constant prayers for employment and health, for wisdom in what to pursue in this season. Prayers for strength and wisdom as he guides Trey.

Ryan: Pray for him as he deals with loneliness and the desire for true friendship. Praying for one specific friendship to continue to grow, and also other friendships to begin.

J2theperson Her husband has a disease which is impacting his back and his health. He is not able to work anymore, and they are dealing with the paperwork and stress of getting on disability. Continue to pray for them, especially as this sickness had another round just as they were hoping to begin trying for a second child. Pray for J2 as she deals with the emotions of that, along with caring for her husband and young daughter…and pray for her husband for strength and healing and comfort.

Steve Wright Be praying for an anonymous friend of his, from school days, who reached out during a difficult time. This person seems to be open to church and Steve shared much with him…pray that all that was shared takes root and the Spirit continues the work in this man.

Sarah: Logan continues his chemo treatments. He is currently dealing with a fever as he gets platelets and some blood transfusions. Praying the fever goes away and he can go home for another week soon, before starting the third month of chemo.

I will try to update each Monday and add any requests that come in to this list as we used to, so we can see our requests in one spot. If a request comes on another thread and I miss it, please let me know.

  6. Sarah says:

London…praying this morning for your eyes.

Lifting each of these requests as I update the list. Praying for comfort, for healing, for mercy. Praying for God to move on behalf of His children. For Saeed this morning.

Praying for grace for each who are in the midst of such struggles. For financial help, and for jobs. For wisdom.

Praying that we are aware of the presence of God in our midst today. The reality of Him. Praying for church to minister today…for us to hear the Word in a way that not only inspires us, but changes us. The reality of our faith…that it richly and deeply grasps us today.

  7. Appreciate the prayers for Dennis.

He was posting threats of suicide on Facebook again last night. Last message was 4 hours ago. I didn’t know till a little while ago.
A friend called the Sheriff’s office in the county he lives in and the VA suicide hotline. I just called a deputy and verified that my friend was telling them the truth.
The deputies, last I heard had knocked and gotten no answer and were considering forced entry into his house.
    Waiting to hear news.

  8. Michael says:

    Derek,

    May God have mercy…praying.

  9. Michael says:

    Sarah,

    Thank you!

  10. erunner says:

I’m so sorry about Dennis. Praying he’s okay.

  11. Well, he is ok.
I honestly have no idea how to deal with this situation.
He really does not seem to want to deal with it.
But, instead he just hides it till he throws the next drunk.

  12. Michael says:

    The Breastplate of St. Patrick

    I arise today
Through a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity,
    Through belief in the Threeness,
    Through confession of the Oneness
    of the Creator of creation.

    I arise today
Through the strength of Christ’s birth with His baptism,
Through the strength of His crucifixion with His burial,
Through the strength of His resurrection with His ascension,
Through the strength of His descent for the judgment of doom.

    I arise today
Through the strength of the love of cherubim,
    In the obedience of angels,
    In the service of archangels,
In the hope of resurrection to meet with reward,
    In the prayers of patriarchs,
    In the predictions of prophets,
    In the preaching of apostles,
    In the faith of confessors,
In the innocence of holy virgins,
In the deeds of righteous men.

    I arise today, through
    The strength of heaven,
    The light of the sun,
    The radiance of the moon,
    The splendor of fire,
    The speed of lightning,
    The swiftness of wind,
    The depth of the sea,
    The stability of the earth,
    The firmness of rock.

    I arise today, through
    God’s strength to pilot me,
    God’s might to uphold me,
    God’s wisdom to guide me,
God’s eye to look before me,
    God’s ear to hear me,
God’s word to speak for me,
    God’s hand to guard me,
    God’s shield to protect me,
    God’s host to save me
    From snares of devils,
    From temptation of vices,
From everyone who shall wish me ill,
    afar and near.

    I summon today
All these powers between me and those evils,
Against every cruel and merciless power
that may oppose my body and soul,
    Against incantations of false prophets,
    Against black laws of pagandom,
    Against false laws of heretics,
    Against craft of idolatry,
Against spells of witches and smiths and wizards,
    Against every knowledge that corrupts man’s body and soul;
    Christ to shield me today
    Against poison, against burning,
    Against drowning, against wounding,
So that there may come to me an abundance of reward.

    Christ with me,
    Christ before me,
    Christ behind me,
    Christ in me,
    Christ beneath me,
    Christ above me,
    Christ on my right,
    Christ on my left,
    Christ when I lie down,
    Christ when I sit down,
    Christ when I arise,
Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me.

    I arise today
Through a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity,
    Through belief in the Threeness,
    Through confession of the Oneness
    of the Creator of creation.

  13. Just prayed through the list.

Praying through the St Patrick’s prayer with the kids today, and talking it through.

  15. London says:

My eye is not painful today. Still bright red but not hurting is a big deal.
    Thanks for prayers.

  16. sarahkwolfe says:

Hope the drs can see you today, London…and that there are enough of the effects for them to be able to figure something out.

  17. Filbertz says:

I had a student pass out suddenly in my classroom this afternoon. Despite the fact that she has a heart condition and history of heart surgery, I am very thankful to discover this evening that she “only” had a ruptured ovarian cyst. I spoke with her mom a short time ago and we are all relieved and thankful beyond words. She’ll likely have an extended Spring Break week. 😉

  18. Sarah says:

Wow…she has a lot to deal with, Fil. Praying for her this morning.

Our young friend Logan who is dealing with his second round of chemo is now also dealing with some infection and fevers. Here is the latest update from his mom:

“They finally located the problem. He does have an infection. Scary stuff. Getting antibiotics and watching him. Praying it clears up quickly and completely. Your prayers are greatly appreciated because I believe in the Power of Prayer. Prayers for the infection to go away, stopping the fevers, and him feeling better. Please share with all your praying friends. Thank you all for your continued support.”
