i think that the Lutes over on the other thread have some problems, but if i’d come out of the experience of taping the communion service to bottom of the seats, i’d have some spiritual trauma to resolve also…
i think Michael needs to enjoy his Christ for a while sans anybody’s doctrines – just the Good Shepherd’s tender care of His child – God keep
I think people in America are less free today than at any other time during my lifetime. And our bondage is primarily brain washing. Most people wouldn’t recognize the truth if it hit them upside the head.
1. Merry Christmas. Don’t worry about buying someone a gift unless they said something to the effect of “I REALLY WANT THAT!!!” – otherwise, they can probably live without it.
2. Spend time with those you love. Put down the tablet, smart phone, new present… and spend time with THEM.
3. The Green Bay Packers are going to the playoffs. That is all.
4. Beware the pastor who takes an offering at a Christmas pageant.
5. Just because Christmas is almost done doesn’t mean I’m done listening to Christmas music. You have been warned.
6. The week of TOP 10 lists approaches……
7. New Years resolutions lists will follow, and that cometh nigh quickly….
8. I heard KP yesterday while on the church shuttle bus. There’s a lesson there… somewhere…
9. No 6 year old needs a pogo stick… ever…
10. Seeing Fergusons “Baptism in the Early Church” on Amazon made me covet… and wish that I’d seen it last month when being asked what I wanted for Christmas…
Jean – that’s because you live in Iowa and have had crazy politicians running around for the past 8 months.
The one good thing about living in a state that is totally to one side or the other is that no one campaigns here. California is so blue you would think were a bruise. 🙂
“Day after day
Alone on a hill
The man with the foolish grin
Is keeping perfectly still
But nobody wants to know him
They can see that he’s just a fool
And he never gives an answer
But the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning round”
On the first part of the journey
I was looking at all the life
There were plants and birds and rocks and things
There was sand and hills and rings
The first thing I met was a fly with a buzz
And the sky with no clouds
The heat was hot and the ground was dry
But the air was full of sound
I’ve been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can remember your name
Cause there ain’t no one 4-2 give you no pain
La, la
After two days in the desert sun
My skin began to turn red
After three days in the desert fun
I was looking at a river bed
And the story it told of a river that flowed
Made me sad to think it was dead
You see I’ve been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can remember your name
Cause there ain’t no one for to give you no pain
La, la
After nine days I let the horse run free
Cause the desert had turned to sea
There were plants and birds and rocks and things
There was sand and hills and rings
The ocean is a desert with it’s life underground
And a perfect disguise above
Under the cities lies a heart made of ground
But the humans will give no love
You see I’ve been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can remember your name
Cause there ain’t no one for to give you no pain
La, la
Josh, If you look at the history it appears there was some controversy stuff on wikipedia but looks like the GFA folks probably removed them saying they are baseless. This is the problem with wikipedia since anybody can write anything they want as well as remove what they don’t like.
#16 – caught a preview – very talented bunch, but didn’t get to see enough to form an opinion on their message … i guess Hamilton comes off the money next year … that doesn’t seem right in light of his contribution to it … then again, he probably is rolling in his grave over the condition of our monetary system today
We think Michael needs to rest and take care of Michael. We are praying for you.
I think I agree with LJ.

LJ, Nonnie…thank you.
I’m doing ok…God has been good.
I do need to recharge a bit…
1. Whooo I’m busy today.
2. Had a great anniversary weekend away with my wife.
3. Ummmm. That’s all I got.
Glad you are taking a Sabbatical…it’s Biblical, ya know! Love ya!
Paige,
Much love to you.
I’m tired today and respect everyone here enough not to post drivel.
At least not on purpose …;-)
i think we’ve go too much snow going on up here

I think, therefore I am. ?

Christmas has not yet begun – we are still in Advent.
Christmas is 12/25 to Jan 5.
8. I heard KP yesterday while on the church shuttle bus. There’s a lesson there… somewhere…
There is something wrong about going to a church that requires a shuttle bus … but I just can’t put my finger on it. 🙂
“There is something wrong about going to a church that requires a shuttle bus..”
Offsite parking. Not enough parking onsite.
Anyone else hear about or see the new musical about Alexander Hamilton? Or see his rap?

Im surprised no one has added a “Controversy” line on wiki-pedia regarding KP and do research write up of the controversies with supporting links etc.
