Things I Think…

    Michael,
    I didn’t think I’d post here again.
Recently I had to put my cat down.
I don’t think I’ve felt so vividly ā€œSatan has asked for you, to sift youā€ in a long time.
Historically I’ve been more of a dog person, but I believe God made this creature specifically to do what the church refuses, to faithfully be a friend regardless of my issues, and not once did she utter ā€œthank you for your service.ā€
The weight of the loss of my crazy kitty (she too was unwanted till we met) has fully rested upon me and again, thoughts I shouldn’t entertain return.
I never thought I’d entertain hopes with no theological support – that my pets will be in heaven because I honestly don’t relish spending eternity with many ā€œbrothersā€ I’ve met so far.
My soul (and tear ducts) is empty.

I, for one, highly value your information on the facts and future consequences of our border policies. What is happening at our border, and now the border of Mexico and Guatemala because of our policies is an abomination. I have found very little credible reporting on the truth of what is happening except on your blog. Some of us are listening. Thank you, Michael

    UnCCed,

    I’m sorry…truly.
    I get it…
I still mourn the ones I’ve lost.
I do believe there is theological warrant to believe they are all awaiting us when we get home…

  4. Michael says:

    Kat,

Thanks…I’m not sure what direction to go with this.
In the meantime I highly recommend the Frontera list…

I dread the day wife and I have to put down my little buddy Andy and little girl Izzy (both beagles). Truly dread it.

A friend here at work was trying her hardest and most valiant at convincing someone who showed up at her Bible study that this person’s idea that HAARP and other conspiracy theories are false.

Person after having enormous evidence presented to them, basically said “I don’t care what you say.”

  6. DavidM says:

Dan, I had to put down my little dog a month ago. He was with us for 8 years but was now 15. He had been my little buddy, and it was so difficult to let him go. I convulsively wept. But, he was miserable and it was time. But, like you, I was aware that the day would come and I wondered how I would get through it. It came, it was extremely tough but we have gotten through it. For non-pet owners, I don’t expect you to sympathize. But you who are, you can understand the emotional bond. It runs deep!

  7. Dan from Georgia says:

Thanks DavidM. We also had to put down our beloved American Eskimo Sophie a few years ago. It’s never easy and it’s not supposed to be easy. Always tough.

  8. Em says:

Heaven is, i suspect, very large, but “we shall know as we are known?” Does this include each other? How much regret, repentance would this involve? Not much, i suspect, even though there are Christians that, right now, i hope are waaay over on the other side. … The trick in time now is to just amuse oneself people/Christian watching.. and pray. ?

  9. Martin Luther's Disciple says:

Dan, what is the HAARP conspiracy?

  10. Dan from Georgia says:

High (frequency) Active Auroral Research Program. It is/was believed by some to be a secretive project designed to control the weather.

Forgot to include chemtrails also in my post.

  11. Dan from Georgia says:

    …of course…because I called these “conspiracy theories” means I’m in on it…haha

  12. CM says:

For those of who have used a laser pointer to play with your cat, it works on big cats too:

  13. BrianD says:

CM, I would think that would be the same as painting a target on your chest…if the big cat ever spotted you. šŸ™‚

  14. shortsofthepolock says:

Still reading here, and if you mention impeachment I’ll think less of you. šŸ˜‰ After all, according to Starbucks’s campaign, I matter.

  15. bob1 says:

Don’t know if this is the right thread…but according to this reviewer, we can thank (or blame!)
DL Moody for starting the Xn publishing business. I’m sure someone else would’ve if he
    hadn’t.

  16. Michael says:

    shortsofthepolock,

I’m sure at some point that the subject of impeachment will come up.
We already know what the end result will be, so I’m not going to waste much time on it.
The only thing I’m really interested in are the spiritual dynamics around our current situation.
Even those will be best reviewed in hindsight…

  17. Em says:

    Impeachment? What’s that? … ?

  18. Shortpolock says:

    Em
    I think it’s a cannery in Georgia…

  19. Em says:

Shortpolock – you may be onto something …LOL
