This one is one of the best surveys of the evolution of satanology in NT reception history I’ve read over the course of my 85 book reading list on the related topics. Stokes won’t bludgeon you with detailed stuff about the Enoch literature like Archie Wright or Loren Stuckenbruck and gets you up to speed on the last forty years of work on biblical studies dealing with the topic of the satan. You won’t get a better price for a really good book on the topic!
The Apocalyptic Imagination: An Introduction to Jewish Apocalyptic Literature

Collins is kind of unavoidable on the development of apocalyptic thought. I got this one but haven’t started it.
I have q good chunk of Bauckham. His new memoir The Blurred Cross was a fantastic and swift read but also terrifying and not published with Eerdmans. Reading about his bout with macular degeneration was so scary I had to stop reading chapter six every two paragraphs because it kinda hit really, really close to home with some of WtH’s background! But if you’ve never heard of macular degeneration and want to learn about it and from a writer who can deftly switch from what it’s like to visit eye doctors and lucidly explain special vs general providence Bauckham can’t be beat.

Oh, spotted another one, Christoph Heilig’s The Apostle and the Empire: Paul’s Implicit and Explicit Criticism of Rome. Read that one a few years ago and it was really good!
Esther Acolatse’s Powers, Principalities, and the Spirit: Biblical Realism in Africa and the West is another one that’s part of the sale and it’s a superb overview of practically the entire reception history of interpreting the powers and principalities of Ephesians 6 from the apostolic period into the present day. It’s pretty academic but I’ve become a fan of her work.
I’m excited…this is by far the most successful book sale we’ve been a part of in years.
