E-Fest!
June 5th is just over two weeks away!
This will be our final announcement until then. I will use this thread to supply any future information such as specific directions to Poiema and anything else that might be relevant.
This is our working list of attendees as of now. Buster and Dusty, Hop Along and his wife, Aponemo Time, Just Curious, Kat, Grendal, Oden, MLD, Bob Sweat, jlo, Erunner, Linnea, David/ Everstudy, Believe.
Those that aren’t sure or whom I haven’t been able to contact are victorious, Michael, Samer, and A Believer.
I’m wondering if dark forces are conspiring against us as Phoenix Preacher has gone down three or four times as we’ve been putting this together! 🙂
I have contact information for everyone that’s a sure thing except for jlo. If somebody could verify they have her information that would be great! Even better is if she could contact me! I have contact information for victorious and Samer, but haven’t heard back so if one of you could get a yes or no from them that would be appreciated.
As far as food I think we’ll have chile rellano, mini pork as well as beef burritos, enchiladas, rice, beans, and chips. I’ll be talking to the restaurant to come up with a cost and will then let you know. It will be $15 or less. If cost is an issue PLEASE let me know and it’ll be taken care of. I’ll be picking up drinks so if you have a favorite let me know. I’ll be purchasing ice,drinks, and various odds and ends and any help towards that would be appreciated.
There is still time to sign up. If you’re bouncing this around in your head go for it! We have had a great time each year.

Since I live one town over from Poeima, may I ask what this is all about? The post doesn’t make it clear to those of us who are not in on the inside loop. Am I missing out on something that I should be attending?

David, Erunner organizes a day of fellowship for those of us that can make it, I went last year and was blessed to be able to meet in person some of those that I have interacted with here on the PP. It is a wonderful time of fellowship, sharing the Word, worshiping in song, and just getting to know each other face to face. All are welcome, if you are able to make it, that would be fantastic.
David, This will be our fourth year gathering together. We have actually done a lot of “advertising” but I think with the blog having been down so much some may not have much idea what we’re doing. jlo explained it quite well. This is our third consecutive year at Poiema as Oden has graciously opened the church up to us. The first year we met at a restaurant but these days it’s next to impossible to set up. At Poiema there are no time restrictions and we’re free to just hang out together. If you’d like to join us let me know so we can plan accordingly.
Normally, I’d be sad that I couldn’t come, but I’m having my bachelorette party that day. 😛

This is the weekend drinks will be purchased. Water, diet coke, sprite/sierra mist, dr.pepper, coke, pepsi lemonade, iced tea, orange crush, etc.?? Not getting all of this but if you like something let me know so I’ll be sure to have it. Contact me privately for your favorite adult beverage! 🙂

The cost is going to be $15 per person. If that is of any concern just let me know and it’ll be covered.
If God’s spirit is speaking to you about bringing a dessert, say like brownies or something, you need to be sensitive to that.

Bob, Bob, Bob….. if you were truly a Calvary Chapel kinda guy you would know that a secret favorite at In-N-Out Burger is the cola/lemonade mixed drink. And we know the deep connection between In-N-Out and CC. And to think at one time you held BIG GUY status. How the mighty have fallen! 🙂

Just bought beverages for Saturday. I thought the utensils were awesome but I ratcheted it up a notch with an uncanny mix and match selection process! At times I wonder if I can top myself and then I hit another one out of the yard!
Here are the directions to Poiema for Saturday. Oden and I will be there at 11:00 so feel free to drop by any time after that. We’ll pick up food at noon. Cost is $15 a head. Take 405 fwy exit Magnolia (south) past Ellis, Garfield, and Yorktown. The next major street is Adams.
The Ace Hardward/Goodwill shopping center is on the NE corner of Magnolia and Adams. Drive down either alley (by Nails store or Don Jose’s) and park in the parking area by the white Goodwill donation trailers, our doors are directly behind the trailers.
