They should have renamed it CCSH: Calvary Chapel Skip Heitzig. Who needs a city or even the sun when your church can revolve around the man?

  2. Michael says:

    EricL…good point!

  3. Laura Scott says:

I can just hear him getting on stage and saying: “It’s time for my closeup Mr. DeMille…”

  4. Dan from Georgia says:

That cube thing….must have had inspiration from Robert Tilton.

  5. josh hamrick says:

Awful humble of Skip to allow the church top billing.

  6. CM says:

Maybe if you put Alexa next to the “Inspiration” Cube of Joel O’Steen Alexa will destroy it.

“Alexa, I am inspired. Please destroy the Inspiration Cube.”

  7. CM says:

But the font size of Skip is much much bigger.

    Love the comments…..
best onspiratoon comes from this blog of struggling Crist lovers.. IMNSHO. 🙏. When i was a kid someone gave me a black glass globe – you asked it a question, turned itt over and voila! your answer floated to te surface!
Got a Bible? Open it and read. It’ll put iron in your soul and that’s better than mystery boxes. IMNNSHO again

  9. Em says:

Okay, it’s been a busy morning – 18 inches of nasty wet snow
    That’s my excuse for the typos….. 😔

  10. Jerod says:

I laughed so hard another teacher had to check on me… lmao.

    Church with Skip Heitzig…!

  11. richard says:

I always wonder if these guys read the same bible that I have.

  12. Em says:

Richard, they scan them for useful verses

  13. Are they marketing themselves and Skip to an older demographics? Just curious after viewing the first two photos they selected for intro page.

  14. Martin Luther's Disciple says:

The inspiration cube is no dopier than the promise cards people kept on their kitchen tables.
Bad theology out of context to get you through your day.

  15. Dan from Georgia says:

    Em,

I think I had that same toy when I was young. Kinda like a Magic 8 ball.

I was convinced by a Neil T. Anderson 7 Steps to Freedom seminar that this was one of the non-Christian experiences I was to repent of and pray the blood of Jesus over so that the experience would no longer have a hold on me and no longer be a portal for demons. So whatever anyone thinks of that 7 Steps “evangelical” thing I did, it is what it is, for better or worse.

  16. Dan from Georgia says:

MLD, actually I was kind of thinking the same thing, just updated for today’s technology.

  17. Kevin H says:

I just pushed the button on my Phoenix Preacher Inspiration Cube and it said:

“Believe there are great breaks in your future. Believe for explosive blessings. You’ve got to pray for big things. You’ve got to believe for big things. And you’ve got to pray to not be Skip.”

  18. Captain Kevin says:

    Wow, just… wow! 😳

  19. Em says:

If you call Skip Skippy, you can put him in a jar and call him……….. Peanut butter…. 😄

  20. The Cube would leave me paranoid. I don’t currently have Alexa’s ..hmm..assistance. Maybe it’s my fear of strong women. Maybe I’m worried even Alexa will just say no…I dont feel like helping..Do it yourself..Leave me alone.

  21. parker says:

The inspiration cube definitely looks inspiring, but I prefer the Magic 8 Ball I got as a kid.

  22. Dan from Georgia says:

Maybe I should have cashed in when I took FORTRAN programming in college and invented a Don Rickles insult generator, or perhaps a Rodney Dangerfield No Respect-isms cube.

  23. Mike E. says:

This is a jovial conversation. I was sorely tempted to insert a political point about JO but I refrained…you’re welcome, Michael! 🙂

  24. Martin Luther's Disciple says:

Nathan, Alexa is great – and obedient. When I ask a quick question and she rambles, like women do, I say “Alexa, stop!”, and she does — my wife doesn’t.
So Alexa is our friend. 😉

  25. Karen says:

$150 !!!! Like they need the money! Just heard they are getting millions in PPP money. He should really give it to his congregation who haven’t gotten their 2nd stimulus. (Joel Osteen I mean)

  26. Karen says:

PS What is the context of the CC ABQ thing? When did this guilt thing start?

  27. JD says:

Is Skip Heitzig a wolf in sheep’s clothing?
    “Signs point to yes”

  28. Em says:

JD, then again he just may be a goat in wolf’s clothing. 🙆

  29. steve says:

Joel and Skip. Such an odd combo. Are those guys friends? Strange seeing these men together in the same post.
