    Michael,
The link to “Did Jesus turn water into wine or grape juice” links to the article on praying for the police.

    Thank you…fixed it…

Related to the Memphis church link, my wife relayed a story to me a few days ago about a church (not sure where) that hired a youth pastor who openly volunteered the information when interviewing for the position, that he was sexually attracted to children. You can’t make this stuff up.

I don’t understand the Roger Olsen and Andy Griffith link? I know the old Andy Griffith skit, just don’t understand what Mcknight is getting at.

Josh @4, I agree the McKnight link was rather vague, though his quotes from Olson were worth reading. I guess he thinks Olson is naive, like some Mayberry resident, to expect colleges to hold their star athletes to the school’s academic and morality standards.

Too many opinions on how to make a church work. In my opinion.

Dallas’ number 3….What????? I hope they didn’t hire him!

  8. Dallas says:

No, that was the whole thing, THEY DID HIRE HIM!

I think I mentioned this before, but there was a negligence lawsuit filed recently in a case where a church near me hired a known child molester as pastor of their church… it was part of his testimony. Then it came out that he had been molesting a young girl (that he had met through a local homeless ministry) over the course of more than a year.

I kid you not… I asked my former pastor what interaction be had with this church, he said about the only message he got when he decided to plant in that neighborhood was “don’t steal our kids”. Crazy.

    Unbelievable!

“Don’t forget where He found you” link…

Great read, and great reminder. Also love the first comment on the article:

“The Sanctification of our souls is nothing other than God reminding us day in and day out Jesus plus nothing equals everything . There’s never a graduation from Romans chapter 7.”
