The Duck controversy is easy. A & E just bought time until they could get the numbers in. I don’t think ‘christian pressure’ had anything to do with it.
The numbers probably came back that homosexuals do not watch Ducks at all. Homosexuals don’t like hairy men, guns or hunting.
Once they found this out, they were able to decide, that a homosexual boycott would mean nothing.

Take one thin dime off of everydollar you earn and put it aside for yourself before you pay anyone else. Then when you have enough set aside open a stock account and only invest in bluechip stocks. Eventually you will accrue enough to invest.

Are you saying that you believe that Phil was in on it? That it was all a scam by the family and the network to garner attention and profits?
Why? They were already the second highest rated show on TV, behind “The Walking Dead”.
Sorry, but if this is the route your minds are going down, I can’t go there. I actually believe Phil believes everything he says and would not have backed down.
I can see A&E backing down, because they don’t want to lose the profits to the network.
But, Phil still lives in a double-wide mobile home. It doesn’t look like the show is going to his head.

I have about 60 % use on a good day. They offer support at a variety of tensions I found them and CVS and Walgreens, I am sure they are at walmart. They are a bit expensive but you can take them back after a few days if they dont work. I slept with mine on when my hands were really bad and it helped calm down the nerves.
In 1983 the move “The Day After” aired on ABC. It told the story of a nuclear exchange between the US and the Soviet Union. It drew huge ratings and national attention including the White House.
This evening I watched it on youtube and it brought back so many memories from thirty years ago.
I’m sure back then I viewed the movie through the eyes of prophecy and the rapture using the movie as a way to share with people.
I think this movie struck me deeper than the prophecy films I had and have seen throughout the years. The movie showed me human misery as the result of the evil we are capable of. The prophecy movies were more of an escape from the tribulation for me than a deep concern for the plight of all people. That was how I was wired back then. I was more concerned about an event (the rapture) than I was for the misery surrounding me every day of my life.

There’s a lesson here for those interested in “the culture war”.
The lesson in my opinion, is that A&E & Duck Dynasty got more FREE publicity than they could of ever even dreamed of.
