Prayer and Praise
Unwavering in your power,
Unflagging in your zeal,
Uncompromising in your position,
It is good for us -just past Sabbath again, just past Easter again – to awaken to your will of constancy for your world.
We pursue our projects,
depart to our private dreams,
invest in our deepest hopes.
They are fragile and flimsy at best, at worst they are devious and destructive.
Either way, they pale before your constancy.
We gladly affirm – past our own inclinations – that you will well-being among us,
that you intend justice for the vulnerable,
that you command mercy and compassion among us.
Turn us, before the day is out, from our will to yours,
Wean us, before we sleep, from our petty hopes,
Relocate us in your eternal resolve,
that the earth may be fully your realm,
that the world may wreak with your shalom,
that we ourselves may find our true freedom in your sovereign purpose.
Yours – not ours – is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory .. . and we are grateful.

Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
All Praise, Worship, Thanks and Prayer belong to Your Glorious, Righteous and Holy name. You alone are Good. Without you there is nothing but evil and death. With you, we can overcome evil and death. No one on this earth deserves your Love, much less your Mercy and Grace. Thank you Messiah, Jesus of Nazareth, for living a full human life without one single sin to be the one and only to accomplish that for the sake of mankind. Use us in a way to serve You and glorify Your eternal domain.

Derek His Sister Amy has been dealing with Colitis and it looks like it is Crohn’s disease. Pray for her healing, for her doctor’s wisdom.
Scott Pastor friend’s 18 month old Granddaughter was killed when a dresser and television fell on her. Pray for this family.
Jlo Dealing with the forest fires being fairly close, and also the loss of relationships from their former church….just the fact that no one from the former church has called to check on her. Pray for her safety and also the loneliness of that loss of relationship.
Neo Facing surgery and insurance issues. Pray for swift resolution, successful surgery and rapid recovery.

Paigemom’s Daughter and Son-in-law Eric and Sarah S. “My son in law has been out of work for months. He is a sweet, faith filled, hard worker with many skills and education. He is also struggling with depression and severe self doubt. My daughter works part time. Both are ‘hanging in there’ by faith, but both are weary and wonder if they have been ‘cut off’ from God’s care. Eric and Sarah S.”
Derek Car trouble! Pray for a solution to his wife’s car issues, with the least amount of expense.
Gary He has been let go from one of his jobs, which provided the most finances, and has also found out he has to move. Please pray for a solid job opportunity and something to come quickly for housing. Also, just for some encouragement during this frustrating time.

Erunner’s Cousin John Continue praying for his salvation, and for him to accept E’s ideas and ways of practical help for his needs.
Erunner’s Mom She is beginning to show more signs of her dementia. Continue to pray for Erunner and his family as they deal with her progression in this (her mother and aunt both died in advanced stages of dementia). Pray for wisdom and grace and mercy, and pray for his mother as she is at this terribly difficult stage of knowing that she is slipping into this loss of her mental abilities.
Erunner’s Wife Belinda She is having elbow replacement surgery, most likely in May.
Michael Needs a job and income. Now.
J2thePerson In the process of filing their disability application online and hoping to have it expedited…if it is not, there is a 5-6 month wait. They have a great case worker, so praying she is able to help them and have this done quickly.
Chile Continue praying for their family member who was given just two years to live.

Derek Be praying for his friend Dennis who served two tours with Derek and is possibly PTSD, continued prayers for mercy for this man.

your welcome…are you wrapping up your homeschooling or have you finished for the school year?
My little one(not so little any more) is teaching at a Christian School-teaching sign language to the high schoolers.
We have a couple more weeks…everything will come to quite a stop, suddenly. We will go from practices four nights a week…games on Saturdays…to nothing. We won’t know what to do! And school stops the same week as well.
I have a good friend here who has a ministry with sign language, interpretation. She goes down to Mexico frequently to work with a deaf orphanage and deaf school.
That is how she got interested in signing….we went on a mission trip to a deaf school in Mexico.
I visited our former pastor last week. He is waiting for a kidney transplant and is on home dialysis. Recently he had a heart attack and then a stent placed. Arteries in his leg ruptured which led to an amputation of that leg below the knee. He has already lost half of his foot on the other leg. He has a finger that’s in danger as of last week. A result of attaching a vein to an artery for a different type dialysis. This cut circulation to his hand and thus the problem. He sleeps in his converted garage because of not being able to get him in the house due to stairs, etc. His wife sleeps out there with him and readies him nightly for dialysis and tends to all of his needs.
Last night she had a heart attack. The last I heard is she may receive a stent or need open heart surgery. Please pray for this family as this is a lot to deal with all at once. Thank you.
Haven’t spoken with my cousin since I posted. He called once so I’m sure we will speak again. Belinda’s surgery is set for the end of this month. They want to do an elbow replacement as an out patient procedure and we’re trying to fight that. Things are quiet as far as my mother goes. Still taking her to do things. Thank you for the prayers.
Update on my friend’s wife. Thank you to anyone who prayed.
“A main artery feeding her heart went into a spasm and caused the heart to “balloon” out and stretch, causing heart damage.
It mimicked a heart attack. The damage mentioned above will heal itself in about 3 months. What causes a spasm of an artery? Stress, according to the cardiologist. Keep praying for her full recovery.”
E…I just saw your request about your friend’s wife. My word. Praying for rest for her, and for that full recovery!! So many people with such tough situations they are walking through. Praying for generous grace for them today.

She mended right up.

Praying for each through the list. Praying for grace this morning, for many who are facing great struggles this morning…physical struggles, financial struggles, emotional struggles.
still praying for improved health for Michael, Capt. Kevin, Derek’s sister Amy and Sarah, Father God You know each of the needs in each person here. Please show mercy and restore them to good health. Give them the wisdom to know how to treat their bodies to remedy the ailments.Guide the docs. in their treatment plans, giving them plans that You Yourself have designed just for them. Give them comfort and rest.

For the person who is caring for the husband and suffering her own medical issues. They need to ask to speak to the medical social worker about getting home health care and an IHSS worker. They are eligible for this —- just needs to contact the social services department in the hospital.
IHSS (In Home Supportive Services) can be anyone this couple knows and trust. The designated person would run errands, fix meals, clean, and even take them to their medical appointments, and more, while being paid. Surely someone from the church is looking to earn some money while pouring the love in their heart upon this couple to ease the stress and toll it is taking upon them.
Note: Social Services Department in this sense has nothing to do with the government or having to qualify for these benefits. Social Workers are employed in many different sectors, private, government, and profit/non-profit organizations, agencies, and community facilities, such as hospitals, shelters, salvation army, churches, industrial or corporate environments.
