Prayer & Praise :May 23-29
Grant, Almighty God, that as thou dost so kindly call on us daily by thy voice, meekly and calmly to offer ourselves to be ruled by thee, and since thou hast exalted us to a high degree of honour by freeing us from the dread of the devil, and from that tyranny which kept us in miserable fear, and hast also favoured us with the Spirit of adoption and of hope, — O grant, that we, being mindful of these benefits, may ever submit ourselves to thee, and desire only to raise our voice for this end, that the whole world may submit itself to thee, and that those who seem now to rage against thee may at length be brought, as well as we, to render thee obedience, so that thy Son Christ may be the Lord of all, to the end that thou alone mayest be exalted, and that we may be made subject to thee, and be at length raised up above, and become partakers of that glory which has been obtained for us by Christ our Lord. Amen.

A Praise….I am so grateful to the Lord for delivering me from the job and circumstances I just left and creating a place for me in a new organization. And, God has given me His perspective in praying for those still there and who do not know HIm. He’s enabled me to see the property damage my coworker did to my car and to be reminded to pray for her. He’s enabled me to allow all the vicious arrows meant to harm me as I left and has translated those into need for prayer. That, my friends, is miraculous.
Nick Hurtado is the nephew of a good friend of mine, who is battling bone cancer, if the Lord prompts, please pray for him. His story can be found here.

Linnea, Your praise report has so encouraged me, and make me shot praises of joy for you! How awful though.. what you had gone through in your prior job. May the Lord change that person’s heart deeply.
I have to add my own praises to the Lord. For the majority of the last month I worked! The days I was not called to work, my car would not start. Talk about God’s plan!!!
The past week I was even put into a an assignment that knocked my socks off!! The Lord brought me through it, He allowed me to be stretched beyond anything I could of imagined.. Thank goodness it ended though, I was having a hard time sleeping at night.
I just wonder what tomorrow will bring….I hope I get work…it’s all or nothing!! 🙂
jlo…praying Nick today
Nene…praying for a wonderful assignment for you this week…
Need prayer for a potentially bad situation at work…it’s not like I can get up and leave, so that option is not open to me…
Thank you kindly Linnea!
BrianD, I will be praying….

I’m on the run this morning, praying for the needs and will post a list this afternoon. Please pray as well for those in Corrales, NM…the Bosque fire is getting close. I got this from my sister-in-law this morning:
“things still ok. Wind are already picking up. As long as it blows East it will stay along the river. anything North and it will be right on top of us. No containment last night at midnight. Heard chainsaws all night. Prayers for the firefighters, too, please! Embers flying around last night were like it was snowing black and red… :(“

Sarah….praying. It’s blowing now, in the right direction, but it’s not good that it’s blowing at all 🙁

Hey Dusty!
Praying for these needs this morning. This is our last week of school here, so I’m in scramble mode, but thankfully can pray as I scramble 😉
But you, O Lord, are a shield about me,
my glory, and the lifter of my head.
I cried aloud to the Lord,
and he answered me from his holy hill. Selah
~Psalm 3:3-4
Father, be that Shield about those listed above. Lift their head and answer them from Your holy hill. Please let them feel Your arms about them, Your heart beat near them.
Forsake me not when my strength is spent……
Psalm 71
In you, O Lord, do I take refuge;
let me never be put to shame!
2 In your righteousness deliver me and rescue me;
incline your ear to me, and save me!
3 Be to me a rock of refuge,
to which I may continually come;
you have given the command to save me,
for you are my rock and my fortress.
hi Sarah
Got a good report from my doctor on some medical tests I recently had. Had another test today that has left me a bit sore and sleepy and that test was a good result as well. Thought our Granddaughter was arriving yesterday…. false alarm!! 🙂
Prayer still requested. Can’t get into details.
Continuing to pray, Brian.
Thanks everyone.
Being off tonite is a Godsend. Caught up on some reading. Relaxed in a favorite place. That’s good, since I don’t know for sure what tomorrow will bring.
Also, I request prayer regarding church and finding a new small group. What I don’t want, but half expect, is to get thrown in with a bunch of people I don’t fit in with and be expected to get down and dirty with them…I’ve already found between work, and the regular breaks, and the activities we’re expected to suspend group for, that even setting up community is a challenge.
Still praying for you on Mondays Steve…praying also for healing from the cancer.
Continuing in prayer tonight…BrianD, our friends in NM and Tennessee….Dusty, Michael, Diego…DMW and Deb…Sarah who is running around at the last week of school….
Praising you Lord for E’s test results. and soon to be grandbaby. 🙂
Even though there was no work today….. I got a call for work for tomorrow and Th. 🙂
Now I just need to work Wed….. Friday is a budget cut furlough day.
Blessing to this most amazing family!
Nancy, still praying for you sweet lady.
Centorian, still praying for you and your bride.
Praying for good test results EBrother. … and for a safe delivery for mama and baby
Praying for Nonnie tonight.
praying for SisterD tonight as well
When our spirit grows faint within us, it is You Lord who knows our way. Before a word is even on our tongue You know it completely …Father, it must feel to some on our prayer list that the darkness is hiding them from Your sight, but You are there. Show them You are there…tell them You are there…let them feel You beside them…let them taste that You are good…Hear our plea for mercy on their behalf. Remove the fiery darts that blaze all around.
I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord.
Hi Dusty! {{{{{hugs}}}}} to you, too 🙂
Thank you for prayers for the procedure I had done…it went well and preliminarily, they did not find any significant problems.
Need more prayer regarding my job and my future where I work…cannot get into details, Michael, Sarah, I can email you details if you like. Otherwise, please pray things go well this week and especially tonight ant Thursday.

Hi Dusty… miss you…. ((( HUGS))))
Sorry cant stay long,
we have been working double and triple time on the Church. and helping a friend in the evenings with repairs in her home due to water damage… the local artisans bailed on her, good thing too, they were doing a “not so good” job…to put it kindly.
Thanking God, for all the progress…
Had surprise inspection, by the Mayor, Chief of Police and Chief of the Fire dpt and a couple other officials… all went well, They said they were quite pleased and impressed with the quality and care of work that has been done….
have only one line item to fix…
have a few details to finish up.
So many people have been stopping by,
not only complimenting the progress, but asking when the church will open, as they are looking forward to attending…. While Im pleasantly surprised and amazed,,,
Still a bit skeptical as to what the real attendance will be…
until then we await for our occupancy permit….
and then we shall see…
praying for you all as we work and wait…
love and blessings
