Re-Abusing the Abused…

In the excellent article by Rebecca Hopkins on julieroys.com outlining the continuing Potters Field debacle, there were some interesting quotes.

Mike Donovan, the PR rep for Mike and Pam Rozell had this to say;

“Since meeting Mike and Pamela Rozell in 2024, I have come to know their character intimately. Their hearts burn with the call of God to serve underprivileged children worldwide—providing food, education, Christian discipleship, and tangible love. Their lives are defined by sacrifice and service, not by the false accusations spread against them.”

Harrun Onunga, an employee of the Rozells , said this;

“Onunga told TRR that he’s worked for PFR in Kenya, the DRC, and now, Uganda. He said the allegations were made by interns with “personal issues” and were “absurd.” He said he’s watched the scandal — fueled by “gossip” — damage PFR’s ability to provide for children in Africa.”

The conclusions these hirelings have come to speak volumes about how this “ministry” felt about the dozens of young adults that were once entrusted to their care.

They had “personal issues”…and there testimonies of how they suffered were “absurd”.

All who gave them space to speak were engaging in “gossip.”

In other words, all those testimonies on the top of this page were lies, those who wrote them were liars and “troubled” and only the Rozells spoke the truth.

These men never spoke to me, nor did they speak to any of those who claimed they suffered harm at the hands of the Rozells.

This is all straight from the Calvary Chapel handbook on how to handle scandals you created.

First, deny it all.

Second, attack the victims character and label them as some variation of “bitter’ or “crazy’.

“Crazy” is usually reserved for ex wives and women in general.

Third, call any reporting on the scandal  “gossip”.

The sad part is…they use these techniques because they work on the dull minds and seared consciences of their followers.

I spoke with many former Potters Field interns, family members, and friends.

I believe every word they told me.

The Rozells are unfit for ministry and they will answer one day for what they’ve done.

There is One will judge in righteousness…

    To me there’s nothing worse than a lying pastor.

    Looks like the standard DARVO playbook to me. I am not surprised. If we are to use Dante’s description of Hell, then the Rozells will be in the bottom ring were it is COLD.

    We have some very people in our lives who were scarred by serving in rozel’s “ ministry “. Why has NOTHING been done legally ? Why is he STILL titled as “ Pastor”? We attend a Calvary, and our leadership does not condone what these two have done . Our leadership is praying that the law will stop them.
