Selling Hate

“The fear of man lays a snare,
but whoever trusts in the LORD is safe.”
(Proverbs 29:25 ESV)

Skip Heitzig is now caught in that snare and as he dangles helplessly from the trap of his own making we need to revisit the ODMs and the business of hate.

You see, it’s not enough for the Evangelical Inquisition that Heitzig disgraced Leonard Sweet by “disinviting” him to his worship conference.

They smell blood…and now want Heitzig to publicly denounce Sweet or face the rack of more accusation on their blogs.

Lighthouse Trails;

“Because the National Worship Leader Conference website still maintains that Leonard Sweet will indeed be speaking at Calvary Chapel Albuquerque, an official public notice from CCA stating that Leonard Sweet will not be speaking there could help clear up the present confusion. Just as important, a statement explaining to the body of Christ why they have decided to remove him from the platform would be important.”

Apprising Ministries;

“Despite those of us in this field of ministry being branded with the derogatory slur “ODMs,” which essentially makes us the new lepers, LTR is absolutely correct. And this is becoming a good example of the very real reason Jesus has sent forth online apologetics and discernment ministries.”

Jesus didn’t send out these ministries. It’s past time to call these what they are… parachurch entities based on selling hate and fear.

Both Lighthouse Trails and Apprising Ministries provide financial support for the people that write them.

Unless there is a steady stream of “enemies” to assault these people have nothing to write about and no income.

Without a continual creation of contrived religious bogey men these hacks would have to find a real job.

They make their money dividing the Body of Christ and demonizing brethren who disagree with their myopic view of the faith.

They are not journalists…if they were journalists they would have discovered what I did by simply sending a couple emails.

Leonard Sweet denounces the “new age” teachings they brand him with and he’s publicly criticized the emergent movement.

I have asked repeatedly for them to tell us what cardinal doctrine of the faith that Sweet denies and they have no answer.

Their target now isn’t Sweet…it’s Heitzig and if he doesn’t completely capitulate to them they will smear not only him, but Calvary Chapel by association.

They aren’t interested in truth, they’re not interested in the Body of Christ, they’re interested in having an income.

Their products are hate and division.

I’ll let you look up in the Bible who their CEO is…
