com, net, org, the suffix doesn’t matter to me, I just hate to see those visitors that are looking for Phoenix Preacher wind up on a dating service.

  7. bishopdave says:

Wow, you really are a phoenix. You always bounce back.

  8. nancy says:

    Cool!!! 🙂

  9. admin says:

The phoenix choice was obviously inspired… 🙂

  10. Reuben says:

Bummer Michael! I had that happen to a friend’s band web site, was taken hostage by a kid in Russia, no joke, they had to buy it back for $5000. They tried to get some police involvement, nothing ever came of the ordeal. It is a sport for online hoodlums.

  11. Michael says:

I have to go back to my theology…God is in control of this.

    It’s kind of cozy in here… 🙂

  12. Tim says:

It may be cozy, but the font is super tiny. Or maybe my eyes are just getting older… 🙂

  13. Michael says:

It is tiny…I need to figure out how to make it bigger or learn to do braille on a Mac. 🙂

  14. Erunner says:

Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends. We’re so glad you could attend, come inside, come inside! 🙂

What is going on with the surgery Michael? Glad to see the new digs.

  15. Sarah says:

On my mac I take to fingers and separate them on the touch pad and it makes everything bigger. It’s kinda cool. The opposite of pinching.

  16. Erunner says:

If you have a website or blog you might want to update the address for Phoenix Preacher for now. A few folks have tried to get here from my blog.

Just like my wife… Sarah’s bragging about her Mac!!

  17. Tim says:

Wierd…now the names are huge, but the text is still small. I gotta check it in Firefox.

  18. Sarah says:

    Tim….drink more coffee 🙂

Erunner….yep, always looking for an excuse for that!

  19. Bob Sweat says:

    “E”

Judging by the font size, you are certainly one of the “BIG GUYS”!

  20. Erunner says:

Bob, For once we can agree. I have officially arrived! 🙂

On Firefox if you hold down the control key and then tap the + key your font will grow before your eyes! I didn’t need a Mac!

  21. Tim says:

    Sarah –
That’s gotta be it. I didn’t have *any* coffee today! Feels strange…

    Still tiny print in firefox.

  22. Sarah says:

WOW! Erunner…um, you are dominating this thread!!! 😉

  23. paigemom says:

In the immortal words of Rosanna (Hosanna) Danna “It’s always something”, isn’t it?
No wonder Jesus said “Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven”
    Folks…..earth ain’t heaven. Not even Iowa 🙂

Prayin for ya Michael…. thanks for all you do!

  24. Erunner says:

Oh good grief!! I had no idea what I did here showed up there. I thought it just made the font big enough so I could read it. Now when I can read it my screen name is a mile high. I’ll go get my magnifying glass. 🙂

  25. Glenn Palmer says:

John and Debbie are desiring that people pray for them. Please get t…he word out to those who know John. Michael:

You mean I sent my prayer request to a dating service?

I thought you were just trying to make more money off your ads and be more ecumenical about it. 😉

  42. udontgetit says:

Well, looks like the activities on this blog have been judged again. I posted a few days ago on the Patriotic Bible thread and asked sincere questions without any kind of antagonistic tone and was completely ignored and not allowed to post. Once again you show your bias and hypocrisy. Anytime someone doesn’t agree with your perspectives you shut them down. Well God continues to shut you down…And I guess now you won’t let this post stay. Just like you’ve told others Michael, in love I say SCREW YOU…

  43. Psalm62 says:

praying for Pastor John and Michael feels a whole lot like praying for my own children – there are times when I feel a bit faint (don’t know if smilies work here)

hooray, for once my old iMac can handle a web-site without help

God keep all of us close and the devil outside the door and blind

  44. Psalm62 says:

‘udon’t’ hasn’t learned not to spit into the wind

God doesn’t do things half-way, I smell a little sulfur in the air, tho

  45. Sister Christian says:

    Udontgetit…

There is something much more important going on here than contrary opinions being moderated.

Look into the throne room of God and see the prayers of the saints ascending from the prayer thread here…

people interceding for their brothers and sisters in Christ.

    Turn your heart towards prayer,
Im praying that you will see the grace and the love found in this amazing family of God,
and that you will have a heart to join us in unity of prayer, instead of focusing upon differences and tossing out curses.

  46. Lutheran says:

    “Screw you in love”…

    I love it.

  47. Sarah says:

    udontgetit…

I’m sorry you felt that you were ignored on the patriotic Bible thread. I missed that. I didn’t know anyone had been moderated in the last few days. Last person blocked I thought was Jackie a few weeks ago.

At any rate, you’ve followed us to our new spot. Now, maybe it’s a good chance to start afresh. What on these few pages and few comments brings so much anger from you? Our prayers for John? Our desire to see Oden and Sam refreshed? Our desire to lift one another up in prayer? Our desire to see righteousness in the situation with Bentley?

Michael has had adversaries post for ages. One of the things that makes him unique. He’s already proved you wrong in allowing your post to stay. Maybe stick around and try again. We all have our bad days where we are not engaging in the ways we should…maybe you caught us in one of those moments. I apologize if we treated you unfairly…now ease up on the anger and see what happens.

  48. dansk says:

Well, at least it’s good to see Todd Bentley working his way back into the discussion. 🙂

I actually like this format much better.

May this new site be a place where they that fear the Lord speak often one to another.

  49. dusty says:

udon’t said, “Michael, in love I say SCREW YOU
”

i don’t get it…how can you say that -how can it be said in love?

udon’t, where is your Christian compassion? Some of our dear friends are undergoing some very traumatic trials here…and you are upset because they did not respond to some ponderings you had? I should think that if your question was indeed “sincere questions without any kind of antagonistic tone” you would not now be displaying the tone you are now showing us.

    🙁

    udontgetit,
on October 13, 2009 at 1:09 pm you posted,

“Well, looks like the activities on this blog have been judged again…
…God continues to shut you down…”

What happened to the blog isn’t God judging or God shutting things down, it’s called cybersquatting, simply that.

As to whether you are not having your questions answered or your posts responded to, well, start by being realistic. Merely posting here is no guarantee that you will have your post addressed. You’ve got to connect with another real live human. Look back and ask yourself, did you do that?

Finally, how can you say “screw you” in any kind of definition of love?
You now have an opportunity to sound off and we’re all hoping you’ll put your best foot forward.
    Kind regards,
    -g

  51. Screw you?? In Love? Is that even possible? It’s like the girl who said to a friend of mine “_____ you in Jesus name.” Ahh…you just gotta love people some times dontcha!

  52. udont

Your comment about God shutting down the blog reminds me of pastors who said hurricane Katrina was God judging New Orleans for it’s sins. If that is true God is a bad shot because He missed the spot where the real problems were!

  53. Scott says:

At least the old .com domain has some Christian links on it now and not just a bunch of dating links 🙂

  57. Augustine says:

We were wondering what happened. We thought we had lost one of the few domains of intelligent discourse on issues that face the church.

  58. David Sloane says:

Did you accidentally let the domain name expire and have someone snap it up from you? Or was it a genuine hijack?

Just wondering what actually happened. Domain squatters pick them up and park them when they expire. Then they try to sell them back to the original owner.

Contrary to popular belief, domains do not expire when they say they do. If the owner of a domain does not renew by the expiration date of the domain, the domain goes into “expired” status. For 40 days, the domain is in a grace period where all services are shut off, but the domain owner may still renew the domain for a standard renewal fee. If a domain enters this period, it is a good first indicator that it may not be renewed, but since the owner can re-register without penalty, it can also just be a sign of laziness or procrastination.

After 40 days are up, the domain’s status changes to “redemption period”. During this phase, all WhoIs information begins disappearing, and more importantly, it now costs the owner an additional fee to re-activate and re-register the domain. The fee is currently around $100, depending on your registrar. When a domain enters its redemption period, it’s a good bet the owner has decided not to renew.

Finally, after the redemption period, the domain’s status will change to “locked” as it enters the deletion phase. The deletion phase is 5 days long, and on the last day between 11am and 2pm Pacific time, the name will officially drop from the ICANN database and will be available for registration by anybody.

The entire process ends exactly 75 days after the listed expiration date. Then it becomes a “Dropped” domain available to anyone.

  59. Michael says:

No, the site was actually hacked and everything but the main database was deleted.

I hadn’t run a backup for some time, so I’m not sure what we will have left.

  60. David Sloane says:

Thanks for the answer pastor! Don’t let it get you down. Your finigers on the keyboard still have a ministry. Somehow this is a blessing in disquise and just may bear fruit yet.

May God continue to use you as He sees fitting. And may all that you do bring glory to Him and blessing to the Body of Christ. Yours is a voice in the wilderness that others come out to hear!

Night or Day your light will prevail in it’s effectiveness to minister to others. Spring back and keep on keeping on…
