TGIF
The sign was clearly visible and easy to read.
“Pedestrian Traffic Enforcement Operation Ahead”
The meaning of the sign was simple.
Right up here at the crosswalk, the police have set a trap for you.
They are kindly informing you of the trap beforehand.
Someone is going to walk out into the crosswalk and if you don’t stop or don’t stop for the appropriate time, they will write you a ticket.
If you look just past the crosswalk, there are people getting written up right now who failed to stop.
Don’t be one of those people!
I laughed out loud at the police officer standing by the crosswalk with a radio and a “civilian” getting ready to cross.
They were making every effort to be obvious to all…they weren’t hiding anything.
I laughed even harder when two cars passed me as I pulled to a stop for the civilian.
They were quickly pulled over.
They had been warned beforehand, the trap was obvious, yet they decided that the law didn’t apply to them.
Unfortunately, there weren’t enough officers to stop all the people who were doing likewise.
They thought they were getting away with something, but their license plates have been noted.
They will receive their gift from the authorities later in the mailbox.
This morning I was reviewing some direct commands from the Scriptures that I find too odious to obey at the moment.
The Scriptures are clear and so are the responses demanded.
I have evidently convinced myself that no one is looking and it’s not that big of a deal, anyway.
I’ve see lots of other people blow right by them.
I may have been caught after all.
God doesn’t use the mail, He comes for you Himself…
Make your own application…
-Gospel for Asia
-CC movement pastors (so far to the last man)
-Criminal complaints filed
-Jim / Tammy Baker only miss-appropriated 2-3 million
Jim / Tammy should be easy to top
In the middle of it… neck deep… knew it … saw it… was warned about it… still swimming in it.
Sucker Dread
Funny Dread!
In a dry humor type of way.
An honest but maybe I misunderstand or took it the wrong way but the command from scripture that to show, feel, express etc grief for a loved one is basically like spitting in God’s face and not trusting Jesus at all. I mean just regular grief not the apologetic grief.
Super obvious. Saw it coming and sure enough you had typed it. But none the less got nailed by it.
The timing was perfect. All too perfect…
if we confess our sins …. “name them one by one” – it will surprise us what the Lord has … graced out 🙂
confess and avoid the comeuppance down the road, eh?
Nothing is all creation is hidden from His sight.
Oh yes, He sees me blow past that stop sign…
nothing is hidden from His sight, but God is the master of prioritizing 🙂
His grace in light of His attributes is incredible, our lack of grace, concerning our limitations is also incredible… just thinking about the post again…
