One of the greatest song lyric ever penned:
I’ve looked at life from both sides now
From win and lose and still somehow
It’s life’s illusions I recall
I really don’t know life at all
Joni was 24 when she wrote this song for her 78 year old self. I really think if were honest, in our younger years we think or hope that one day we’ll figure it all out. But this 70 year old man can say try as I may, I really don’t know life at all.
I think in some respect, the same could be said about God. I’ve looked at theology from several sides; from win or lose But still some how It’s my life’s journey I recall, but after 52 years of study, preaching from the pulpit i have to admit that while there is some I know him really don’t know God at all. At least not like I thought I could.

I hear ya, Hoppy.
P.S. Great song. I like Neil Diamond’s rendition.
