Prayer & Praise

thumbnail.aspxA Prayer For Hard Times

Lord, have mercy. Christ, have mercy. Lord, have mercy.

Merciful Father, You know how difficult these days are for me.

In Your holy Word You have promised to hear those who cry unto You in the day of trouble.

Listen to my cries for mercy and send me help from the sanctuary of Your grace.

Preserve me from bitterness of spirit and rescue me from every temptation to despair.

Calm my frustration with the knowledge that my life is secure in Your redeeming love, for I am baptized into the death and resurrection of Your Son.

Draw me out of self-centered worry, which stifles faith, and cause me to take comfort in the great and precious promises that You have made to me and all believers in the Gospel.

Sustain and strengthen me under every cross and affliction, that Your grace might be made perfect in my weakness.

Give me confidence to pray without losing heart and to trust in Your mighty deliverance according to Your good and gracious will.

Father, into Your hands I commend myself. Hear me, for the sake of Your Son, who alone is my Brother and Savior.

Amen

Amen. What a beautiful prayer. Amen. I do love that “Jesus prayer” (or whatever those first lines are called). Many a day, that is the only prayer my lips can utter.
May God’ will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus.
    Amen

Restore their health and productivity for the Kingdom of God and ministry to the saints…. Let Your Spirit please minister life and healing to both of these men, who have served You with their lives. Have mercy on their wives and children, whose hearts are breaking as they see their beloveds suffer.

God, I thank You and praise You, our only Hope in this life and the life to come. Thank You for the Scriptures and Your Word that gives us hope. Thank You for another day of life, shelter, food and the things You see that we need for this life.

Blessings and honor and glory are Thine alone, now and forever more. Amen.

God protected my daughter Sunday – i have not a scintilla of doubt – she hit a deer as she drove downriver – it jumped out in front of her car as she was going about 50mph, she had enough time to slow down a fraction, but the deer was killed and she lost the front grill on her car… never ignore prayer even tho it is mysterious and sometimes silent when God answers

Pray for my friend who has been accused and is in jail on sexual abuse charges with a minor. who lived in his home. I am not commenting on the truth of the case as I do not know.

What I am asking is that you think about what it would be like to be a man with your life ruined by charges whether true or false. Making it all more complex is the rampant charges against Cosby that have so many witnesses.

Everyone is quick to judge. I do not know anything except that I am praying for my friend and for all involved the young teenager and the families. Please pray for justice.

    God’s justice

  8. That’s a tough situation. There needs to be stiff penalties for false accusations. I will pray that the truth be told.
