  3. Papias says:

Keep John in remembrance of You during this ordeal. Draw him close.

May those saints who are able, assist them. Help us all to learn what you would have us learn during this time.

  4. Michael says:

He is really hurting every way you can hurt…I’m very concerned.

  5. nancy says:

Adding my amen to the prayers above.

    How upset does he seem?

  6. Erunner says:

I feel helpless with so many I know and love suffering as they are. It’s like an avalanche of suffering has descended. Circumstances scream otherwise but God is in control. Father, please touch John and all of those who are hurting in so many different ways.

  7. Psalm62 says:

Lord Jesus, comfort all who are hurting for this servant of Yours. Bless Pastor John with a work of God the Holy Spirit giving him a heart of trust and an awareness of Your presence underneath this assault.

    Erunner, amen to your 9:46.

  8. Michael says:

    Really upset…

  9. His Kid says:

Praying for DMW…and for you, Michael.

  10. Nomans says:

    Continuing in prayer

  11. Glenn says:

    I am also praying.

  12. Psalm62 says:

should anyone read this thread and think that this man’s faith is weak … may I submit that it is his body that is weak and that the men I known (in my long life) who have had serious heart conditions develop seem to run out of cope and feel dispair. And DMW has sufficient reason to feel despair from a human viewpoint. Strong men become child-like. They need all the support they can get. But I think it is systemic/physical, and does not involve failing faith.

dunno, tho – just what I think I’ve seen… but I wouldn’t, for one minute question his walk with his God… should anyone passing by here be so inclined

  13. Sister Christian says:

Continuing in prayer for John and Debbie,
    The cry of my heart..
    Lord, when, Lord, why…
thou we know not… We trust that you are good and you know best
and you hold them both in the palm of your hand.
and yet we ask for relief, for comfort, for joy in the midst of this sorrow
and stretch of the trials that unfolding in their lives that seems to go on without end or with seemingly little to no reprieve. Yet you are able, and Lord help us to pray for them according to wisdom and where your children are able to rise up and minister to your beloved ones.
Lord we know that love, light, joy and life, all comfort and all healing come through you,
Lord touch John and Debbie in the most ordinary yet miraculous ways,
help them, protect them from these continual darts from the enemy,
be the lifter of their heads, that they may rise up and call you blessed.
    Shroud them in your love

  14. David says:

Michael, please give my love to John and Debbie. I have known John since high school and introduced him to Debbie many years ago. I spent a couple of days with them last year and witnessed not only the almost impossible burden he (they) must bear in his life right now but also the faith and unwavering love for the Lord that sustains him. I feel helpless, as I wish I could do something. I do pray and will continue to do so. But, since you have the ability to talk with him, please extend my love to him and Debbie. He is a good man and a dear brother. Thank you.

  17. Erunner says:

While on FB today John’s wife began a conversation with me via the IM. I wasn’t at my computer and she had signed off before I returned. Part of what she shared was this.

“”went to visit john this morning and ended up staying for a couple of hours. they moved him to a new unit “cardio” just to be able to keep a better eye on things. much better care for him!”

I spoke with Victorious earlier today and he was going to try and stop by the hospital and then report back to us here. I held off posting because he would have more current information. I’m not sure if he was able to make the visit.

A vascular surgeon was with John and because of my experience with my mother I know they specialize in blood circulation. I’m hoping that meant there were no heart issues and what Debbie shared seems to confirm that.

So I’m hoping that the antibiotics are working and things improve for John. If Vic or somebody else does post soon then this post may have not been necessary. I did want to share these things though. As we know having followed Oden’s journey with Seth things can change awfully quick. Lord willing John and Seth will both be seeing much better days.

  18. jlo says:

Thank you Erunner, praying for DMW and Debbie.

Praying for John and Debbie as they continue to trust in the mighty love of Jesus. We are weak but He is strong.

I visited John yesterday at about 4PM. They are going to try an angiogram Thursday. He still needs our prayers. He has several doctors who are still in the process of monitoring and diagnosing the details of his condition.

John is familiar with pain and is able to outwardly mask the pain he is experiencing, although it does seem to be stabilized.

  21. Captain Kevin says:

Thanks Vic for the update. Wish I could be there with John. I’ve never met the man face-to-face, yet I feel as if he has been one of my pastors. Praying…

  22. nancy says:

Yea … what Captain Kevin says.

  26. London says:

    Did they do the angiogram?
    How’d it go?

  27. Glenn says:

London, Thanks for asking what I was thinking.
I had an angiogram once, four years ago this
December – the next day I ended up on the operating
room table having a 4 way by-pass. I am very thankful
that the Lord put it all together with good doctors
    and lots of people praying!
I am praying for John and Debbie!
